Copyright and Fair Use LR
Number 14 really made me mad. Turns out you can't show a Disney movie without paying a 25 dollar fee because it would be used as entertainment. What I want to know is if you work at a summer camp, and you play a movie, are you supposed to pay the fee then as well? I just think that if you own the movie you should be able to show it in school for entertainment purpose or not. It isn't being used for entertainment for the people who are watching the kids, it's more of a break for them. Most of these at least make some sense, but this one is just too much. It is just another way for Disney to throw some more money in their pockets. It would be one thing if the school offered child care everyday and showed movies everyday, but this is just a one time thing. There should be some exceptions.
